NSF Requirement for New Biosketch and Current and Pending Support Formats Take Effect on October 5th
The National Science Foundation's requirement for the use of approved formats for the biographical sketch and current and pending support sections of NSF proposals goes into effect for all new proposals submitted or due on or after October 5, 2020.
The approved formats include the option of utilizing either the NSF-provided Biosketch PDF format, the NSF-provided Current and Pending Support PDF format or SciENcv (Science Experts Network Curriculum Vitae). NSF has partnered with the NIH to use SciENcv, promoting the adoption of a single, common researcher profile system, in an effort to reduce administrative burden on researchers.
The Princeton University Library provides support for researchers developing their SciENcv presence, which includes the development of an ORCID ID. The ORPA website also includes additional resources on the topic.
