ORPA Staffing Update
ORPA is thrilled to announce that this week we welcomed Ivy Mongare as our newest Grant and Contract Administrator. Ivy previously worked as a Grants Manager at the University of Pennsylvania and also has experience as a Homeland Security Grant Program Coordinator for the City of Philadelphia. She has a B.A. from the University of Leicester and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania. Please join me is giving Ivy a warm welcome to Princeton.
We also would like to formally announce that Courtney Kohut has been promoted into a new role as ORPA’s Training Program Manager, which includes the management of the ORPA Shared Services group/program. Courtney joined ORPA in 2019 as a Grant and Contract Administrator (GCA) and has over ten years of experience in research administration at Princeton. Her experience in ORPA as a GCA, matched with her previous experience as the Grants and Business Manager in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department, and as the Grants Manager in the Department of Physics, paired with her enthusiasm for teaching the grants community, all make her a great fit for this position. Additionally, Courtney was a Project Coordinator at Rutgers University Coastal Ocean Observation Laboratory for eight years before joining Princeton. Courtney has a B.A., Media Communications, from the College of Charleston. We are so excited to bring Courtney’s vision to the Training and Shared Services Programs. Welcome to the new role Courtney!
Lastly, after a long search, we have also filled ORPA’s vacant Senior Grant and Contract Administrator position. We will be welcoming Anne Ochiai to Princeton on 9/19/22. Anne comes to us from Cornell University and brings with her 20 years of experience in contracting and research administration. Prior to Cornell, Anne worked for BAE Systems Controls, Lockheed Martin, and Binghamton University. She has a B.A. in Psychology/Business Management and several certifications in government contracting. We are very excited to soon welcome Anne to our ORPA team.
