Francine is responsible for the review and submission of proposals, contract negotiation, and grant acceptance on submissions to federal, industry, corporate, and foundation sponsors. Additionally, she provides administrative guidance to faculty and department administrators to ensure compliance with sponsor guidelines and applicable state and federal regulations throughout the sponsored research lifecycle. Francine also works closely with Sponsored Research Administration and Internal Audit on issues as they arise. With an eye on developing acumen throughout the University, Francine is actively involved in the development and delivery of sponsored research training classes.
Background
Francine joined ORPA in 2009 as the Subaward Administrator, and she was also responsible for all equipment and foreign-travel approvals on sponsored research projects. Prior to joining ORPA, Francine was the Business and Grant Manager for Princeton’s Lewis Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics. There, she was tasked with the day-to-day management of all financial and sponsored research activity. Francine’s prior experience includes both financial services and teaching. She was a Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer at Prudential Securities in the Direct Investment Group, and a Senior Auditor for BDO Seidman. As an Adjunct Instructor at Mercer County Community College, she has taught both accounting and finance courses.
