
Background
Prior to joining ORPA, Sarah served for 10 years in various roles at Princeton, including as a Program Manager in the Humanities Council where she managed the financial, curriculum, certificate, undergraduate and graduate, and events needs for three programs: European Cultural Studies, Medieval Studies, and the Fund for Canadian Studies. Previously, she was the Assistant to the Chair in the Department of Chemistry, managing the Chair’s office for Tom Muir, along with the needs of his research grants and 20+ members of the Muir Lab. Sarah provided pre- and post-award management for sponsored research fellowships and grants to craft competitive applications to the NIH, pharma, and foundations, overseeing proposal development from initial concept to submission. Prior to joining Princeton, she was a writer for city guides, and the owner and formulator of a natural body care company with distribution in chains such as Whole Foods. Sarah began her career in research as a lab manager for labs studying botany and plant hormones at UT Austin and UT San Antonio, as well as biochemistry and pharmacology at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio.
