Background
Tina has over 13 years of sponsored programs administration experience in pre-award, post-award management, compliance, and sponsored programs accounting functions. She's worked in both centralized and decentralized roles and has experience with the entire research life cycle from pre-award to grant closeout. In her most recent position as Sr. Grants & Contracts Specialist with Huron Consulting Group, Tina worked with a variety of clients (R1s, Research Institutes and Academic Medical Centers) to provide staffing and support services for central research administration operations, proposal preparation and submission, award setups, subrecipient monitoring and management, post-award financial management, central effort reporting, and process improvement and transformation initiatives. From 2018-2022, Tina was the AOR at Rider University and managed all aspects of sponsored program administration and completed several process improvement initiatives. In this role, she prepared and submitted research and sponsored programs proposals, managed daily operations of sponsored programs accounting and prepared external surveys and provided support for the annual audit.
Prior to joining ORPA, Tina worked as a cradle-to-grave grants manager for the Princeton Neuroscience Institute (2017-2018) and the University of Notre Dame (2012-2017) handling pre- and post-award management of sponsored research projects. Tina began her career in grants management in Washington D.C. as Program Officer for the American Bar Association's Rule of Law initiative where she provided program management support to international field offices in Africa focused on legal education reform, judicial reform, access to justice and women's rights projects.
